Leading Edge Group Lean Healthcare Consultant Delivers Keynote Address at UK Healthcare Conference

Leading Edge Group Senior Lean Healthcare Consultant Joe O'Callaghan gave the keynote address at the Healthcare Process Mapping conference at The Royal Society in London on June 22nd.

Entitled "Process Mapping Analysis and Redesign", the conference provided a practical guide to improving the patient experience through process mapping, analysis, and redesign. It focused on how to process map and how to implement the necessary changes that emerge.

Process mapping, analysis, and redesign has become part of the continued focus on building healthcare processes around the people to improve efficiency and implement change.

It acts as an improved service that both enhances relationships with patients and the quality of working life for staff in that service.

The title of Joe's presentation was "Redesigning Services around the Patient: Lean Thinking in the NHS".

In this presentation, Joe explained Lean Thinking, how it can benefit patients, and how to involve patients

and the public in any Lean Healthcare implementation.

The presentation also included case study examples of a number of successful Lean Healthcare projects that the Leading Edge Group has led and facilitated.
