Course Content

This course introduces the basic data collection, analysis, and problem solving tools and the associated usage and application of each one. The course focuses on the basic tools that teams can utilize in identifying, resolving, and eliminating daily operating problems and sources of waste. Tools covered include cause and effect diagrams; checklists; surveys; Pareto analysis; graphing and action registers. Participants will be introduced to problem solving processes and techniques. They will have the opportunity to practice these techniques to enable immediate utilization upon return to the team environment.
