The Lean Enterprise Self Assessment Tool
(LESAT) is a tool for self-assessing the present state of
“leanness” of an enterprise and its associated
readiness to change.
It is comprised of a capability maturity
model for assessing:
(1) Enterprise leadership
(2) Life cycle and enabling processes
(3) Enabling infrastructure
The Leading Edge Group approach to
implementing LESAT is as follows:
Step
1 - Design Phase
The initial step in any Lean initiative or transformation is to
identify the strategic implementations and metrics that the company
must meet in order to be competitive. This process is called the LESAT
Assessment.
One of our Lean Consultants will spend a day
in the facility designing the program and becoming familiar with the
client’s:

process
The self-assessment criteria are prepared
accordingly, and left for the company to complete within a specific
period of time
Step 2 - LESAT Assessment
The Leading Edge Facilitator engages with the client’s
executive team on the results of the LESAT –what added value
and what processes contributed to that added value. The LESAT will view
your organization from three different domains: processes,
infrastructure, and leadership.
The outcome of the LESAT facilitation will
be:
-
